CALENDAR SCRIPTS
ALL LEVELS - PERSONAL USE ONLY

example of psp calendar script

Calendar Scripts by Jos Croeze, implemented Font Browser Script by Gary Barton.

The Month Calendar script generates a new image of a month and year of your choice.
The Year Calendar script generates a new image of a year of your choice.

The scripts will automatically calculate the days of any calendar month in any given year. They let you pick font type and size as well as the fill and optional stroke colors/materials; width and height of the calendar image will adapt to the font size. The number of columns for the year calendar is adjustable.

MONTHLY CALENDAR

What if

·  "I need the weeks to start on a Monday?"
Open the script with an editor and do the following: In the line that says startdag = 0, change the 0 into a 1. Save.

·  "I want to put the calendar on an image?"
The Calendar Script needs to generate a new image, therefore you cannot apply it directly to an existing one. You can

Copy the calendar vector layer and paste it onto your image, or

Paste your image as a new layer underneath the calendar layer. If you do this, you may first want to resize the canvas of the calendar image to match the size of your image.

·  "I want a grid around the dates?"
This will take a little work on your end after you ran the script.

You need to know the grid coordinates the script used for your chosen font size.
To find these coordinates, look up the Current image settings in View/Grid, Guide & Snap Properties.

Next, you need to run the GridMaker Script that comes with PSP.
In this script, you enter the grid coordinates. The GridMaker script will place the grid as a new layer in your calendar image.

PSP:View/Grid, Guide & Snap Properties - GridmakerScript:Define Grid

After running the GridMaker Script, you will have to move the resulting grid layer around a bit to get it in the right position around the text. Use Shift + the Move Tool to do this.

Of course you won't want the grid to run over the borders and the text at the bottom. So, with the Selection Tool, make a rectangular selection of the grid area you plan to keep, and invert the selection (Selections/Invert). Cut the resulting selection.

The result could look like this:
