Production”. Left to right: G Philip Andrews, publisher of ‘Air News’ and

at Waterton, New York; Avro test pilot Jimmy Orrell; H E Hollensbe,

his time as a test pilot with Avro, Joseph ‘Jimmy’ Harold
Orrell clocked up 8,174 flying hours on at least 77
types. He piloted 917 different Lancasters, nearly
