1. What is the Form Remover?

Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook version 1.0 used custom forms to add a "Franklin Planner" tab to the appointment and task dialog boxes. These forms have been removed from Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook version 1.1. The Form Remover identifies the tasks and appointments that contain the Franklin Planner tab and then removes the custom forms from those records (thus eliminating the Franklin Planner tab).

2. What will the Form Remover do?

The Form Remover only affects the tasks and appointments that were created using version 1.0. When you upgrade from version 1.0 of Franklin Planner for Microsoft Outlook to version 1.1, the Franklin Planner tab is no longer included in new tasks or appointments. If you choose not to run the Form Remover, the presence of the Franklin Planner tab in the older tasks and appointments will not affect any functions of version 1.1 nor will it cause any data loss. However, the presence of the custom forms may still cause certain macro or script errors when old tasks or appointments are manipulated.

3. How to run the Form Remover

To remove the custom forms:
1. Double click the FormRemover.exe icon.
2. The Main dialog opens and identifies the number of version 1.0 custom forms.
3. The custom forms are removed.
4. Click OK to exit.

NOTE: The removal process cannot be canceled. If the removal process is paused, the items that have been processed will not revert to the previous state.

4. Macro warnings while the Form Remover is running

Some tasks or appointments may have included a macro when created. If this is the case, the Windows Macro warning will appear during the removal of the forms. The forms will be removed regardless of whether you enable or disable the macros. Enabling macros WILL NOT harm your computer or application in any manner.

5. Bugs fixed by the Form Remover

- Because the Franklin Planner tab was created using custom forms, it was possible for the tab to appear in tasks and appointments on machines that never had the Franklin Planner extension installed. This has been resolved.

- Recurring events originating from Long-Range Goals caused harmless macro virus and script errors. This has been resolved.

- Deleting a single occurrence of a recurring task created duplicates for the next occurrence. This has been resolved.
